Gaia Collection is a collection to celebrate our mother earth.  This collection honors the raw crystals that come from our earth.  Each piece is not polished or cut.  We string them and finish them in 14 karat gold.  Gem of the sun Peridot paired back with Herkimer Diamond in its purest form.  Handmade in NYC and finished with 14 karat gold hardware.

About the stone

The Egyptians called Peridot the “gem of the sun.” Today this precious gem is prized for its restful yellowish green hues and long history. Gem miners find peridot in lava flows and crystals lining solidified molten rock.  Geologists believe both types of deposits relate to the spreading of the sea floor that occurs when the earth’s crust splits.  Sometimes, peridot can have an extraterrestrial source, being contained in meteorites that have fallen to earth.
