About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Director to join JIA JIA as a founding leadership hire — a strategic, entrepreneurial, and commercially minded leader who will help grow and scale the brand globally.
This individual will oversee and expand our wholesale, specialty retail, and direct-to-consumer sales channels, leading partnerships with Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, and top specialty stores, while developing new domestic and international accounts.
The Sales Director will work closely with Founder & Creative Director, Jia-Jia Zhu, to define and execute the brand’s commercial vision, build the sales organization, and drive meaningful growth across all markets.This role may be based in New York City or Los Angeles, depending on where the best candidate is located. Travel is required for markets, trade shows, trunk shows, and client development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Jia-Jia Zhu to design and implement a comprehensive domestic and global sales and growth strategy.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on expansion, performance, and brand elevation.
- Oversee and expand partnerships with Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, and leading specialty retailers.
- Identify and open new domestic and global accounts, scaling JIA JIA’s footprint across key luxury markets.
- Lead all aspects of participation in Couture and similar fine jewelry trade shows — from strategy and planning to buyer appointments, presentation, and post-show follow-up.
- Develop and execute pricing, merchandising, and assortment strategies to maximize profitability and brand cohesion.
- Cultivate relationships with luxury spas, hotels, and resorts, integrating JIA JIA into premium lifestyle environments.
- Explore private-label and exclusive collaboration opportunities aligned with the brand’s creative and commercial goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with production, merchandising, marketing, and PR to ensure alignment between sales initiatives, collection launches, and storytelling.
- Represent JIA JIA at markets, trunk shows, and events as a visible and trusted brand ambassador.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of experience in fine jewelry, luxury fashion, or accessories, with proven success in growing and scaling a brand.
- Direct experience working with major luxury retailers — including Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, and high-end specialty stores.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, merchandising, and assortment planning.
- Experience leading trade show participation (Couture or comparable luxury events) from start to finish.
- Proven ability to develop new domestic and international accounts and expand brand distribution.
- Experienced in non-traditional luxury channels (spas, hotels, and private-label collaborations).
- Demonstrated success building and leading teams in entrepreneurial or start-up environments.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Willingness to travel for markets, trade shows, and client appointments.

About the Role
JIA JIA Jewelry is seeking a highly creative, resourceful, and technically skilled Preditor — a hybrid Producer + Director + Editor who can concept, capture, and craft beautiful, high-performing content across social, commercial, and paid platforms.
As the Preditor, you’ll own the end-to-end creative process — from ideation and planning through production, editing, and delivery. You’ll collaborate directly with the Founder and Marketing team to shape the brand’s visual voice and storytelling across digital platforms, creating content that is elevated, on-brand, and optimized to perform.
This is a key creative role for someone who’s equal parts artist and strategist — someone who can bring vision, technical mastery, and efficiency to every project.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Production
- Concept, plan, and execute original content across all platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta
- Commercial: Website visuals, product stories, campaign videos
- Paid: Meta ads (Facebook + Instagram)
- Film, edit, and deliver weekly content that feels elevated, on-trend, and performance-driven.
- Lead creative development — from storyboarding and shot lists to music, editing style, and pacing.
- Collaborate closely with the Founder and Marketing team to align creative direction with brand vision and campaign goals.
- Manage production logistics: location scouting, styling, lighting, and shoot coordination.
- Build and maintain a scalable workflow for content output.
Creative Direction & Brand Storytelling
- Develop innovative visual concepts that merge luxury aesthetics with modern storytelling and viral appeal.
- Balance creativity with strategy — crafting content designed to stop scrolls, build awareness, and drive conversion.
- Ensure brand consistency in tone, visuals, and narrative across all assets.
- Stay ahead of digital trends, evolving formats, and cultural shifts that inspire new ideas.
Technical Execution & Efficiency
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment confidently, with an understanding of professional production standards.
- Edit video content with precision — delivering seamless, polished work optimized for each platform.
- Utilize AI tools, automation, and modern software to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and accelerate delivery.
- Stay current with the latest creative technologies, post-production workflows, and equipment.
- Manage file organization, versioning, and asset delivery across campaigns.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Preditor, videographer, or content creator in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or luxury brands.
- A strong creative portfolio showcasing social, brand, and paid media content.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Expertise in camera operation, lighting, and sound.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms — especially Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Meta Ads.
- Up-to-date on AI creative tools (e.g., Runway, Descript, Midjourney, CapCut, etc.) and how to leverage them for production efficiency.
- Excellent storytelling instincts and sense of timing, rhythm, and composition.

This is a builder role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic creative environment and wants to grow into a senior leadership position as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Production Ownership
Full accountability for production from materials to finished goods.
- Manage daily production workflows across DTC, wholesale, restocks, and special projects.
- Maintain production calendars, timelines, capacity plans, and WIP tracking.
- Ensure flawless quality and accuracy at every stage of production.
- Communicate daily with jewelers, studio team, and external partners.
- Troubleshoot production challenges quickly, creatively, and independently.
SOP Creation & Process Development
- Create and refine SOPs for all operational and production workflows.
- Build systems that improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support future scaling.
- Implement tools, automation, and AI to streamline processes.
- Train team members and ensure consistent SOP adherence.
Material Sourcing Support & Vendor Coordination
- Work closely with the Founder on sourcing, vendor communication, negotiation, and materials research.

- Ensure all sourcing-related information is accurate and accessible for production and planning.
Material & Inventory Tracking
- Maintain meticulous tracking of gemstones, metals, findings, components, finished inventory, and WIP.
- Ensure inventory accuracy across both the studio and 3PL with zero discrepancies.
- Build systems that connect sourcing → intake → production → finished goods → 3PL.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile all variances.
Operational Systems, Reliability & Problem Solving
- Strengthen workflows to eliminate gaps and improve task reliability.
- Maintain pristine documentation, labeling, and operational data accuracy.
